In recognition of Halloween, this week’s sermon tells what had to have been a real horror story in first century Palestine. Upon Jesus’ death, darkness covered land even though it was noon, the curtain in the temple was torn in two, an earthquake occurred and rocks split open, including rocks covering the openings of tombs. Even worse, some believers, those who had died, were raised to life and were seen walking the streets of Jerusalem. What tales from the crypt explain these eerie circumstances?
